Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great success with the tales she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift was interested in music at an early time. She swiftly rose through the ranks, starting by playing roles in the theater for children and eventually performing in front of a huge crowd. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at the age of 11 she had already begun composing songs. In the following year, she began playing guitar. Swift got inspiration from musicians in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness she experienced by the age of 13. At the age of 13, Swift's parents sold their property in Pennsylvania to move to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could dedicate more time to courting country labels in nearby Nashville.
